The staff of Sioux Empire Federal Credit Union would
like to remind all members to NEVER release account or personal information to
anyone who contacts you via email, by US Postal Service or by phone. This
includes account numbers, routing numbers, credit/debit card numbers, PIN
numbers, credit/debit card CVV authorization codes or passwords.
We will NEVER ask you to click on an e-mail link or call you and ask
you to share sensitive financial information. Please notify us whenever you
receive a suspicious e-mail or any other form of unsolicited contact from
individuals seeking personal information about your accounts.
PHISHING ALERTs - November 2007
Recently, there have been multiple "Phishing" scams
that were initiated via email and sent to both the general public and to some
Credit Union members. You should be aware that these types of fraudulent
schemes have a habit of reappearing in a same or similar fashion as the examples
